One of my favorite singers is Canada's very own country legend,
Stompin' Tom Connors! Stompin' Tom
Connors is as canadian as hockey and maple syrup! Stompin' Tom get's his nickname from
his trademark "stomp" that he uses
during his performaneces. Stompin' Tom always walks out at every performance carrying his
stompin' board, a piece of plywood, tosses
it on the ground, and stomps away! Stompin' Tom is one of the few recording artists who
get virtually no radio play, but has
sold millions of records across Canada
I've always admired Stompin' Tom, but in the last couple of years
I've
started buying his CD's, and really enjoy his music. Last year I had the pleasure of seeing
him perform live, a mere 10 feet away
from him! What an excellent show! And to top that off, a week later I saw AC-DC live in
Toroto! I'm sure I'm the only
person who went to both of those concerts! So, when I started building AC-DC out of Lego,
I started thinking of
other people to build, and Stompin' Tom came to my mind! As with my AC-DC figures,
Stompin' Tom is in Legoland scale, and comes
complete with his signature stomp board.
