My favorite band is Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers.  For a long time I’ve wanted to make some sort of Tom Petty Lego model.  I decided to make a Lego version of the Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers logo. 

My version of the iconic logo is based on a newer version (seen below) of the logo.  The simpler color scheme made it easier to construct out of Lego.

I decided to make my Flying V guitar white instead of tan as in the original, as the wedge pieces I needed were too hard to find in tan Lego,  My model was made over the span of three weeks, with about 1/2 hour of work done on average per day on it.  The final model measures roughly six feet across and three feet high.
