The Doctor travels through time and space in his TARDIS, which is an acronym for Time And Relative Dimension In Space. The TARDIS is dimensionally transcendental, its larger on the inside than the outside. A fully functional TARIDS is equipped with a "Chameleon Circuit" which can change the appearance of the outside of the TARDIS, so it can blend in with its surroundings. But the Doctor's TARDIS has been stuck in the form of a Police Box. Police Boxes were used in England to lock up criminals for short periods and to call headquarters. The Doctor refers to the TARDIS as "she", as the TARDIS is alive.





The 3rd Doctor, when exiled on Earth, travelled in an Edwardian roadster named Bessie. The Doctor had made several omdificatoions to the car, making it super fast.
